As an artist, explorer and founder of Artsypics, Juan Barrientos is an imaginative, self-taught photographer, traveler, and lover of nature, food and life experiences. His artistic journey started as a child by drawing ninja turtles, palm trees, sunsets, mountains and other natural raw settings from his native country of El Salvador. Tuned in with nature, while simultaneously being immersed into an environment of endless photos, paintings and architectural designs from his talented father, a true photography enthusiast was born. It was through this colorful, dynamic environment in which Juan found a sense of belonging in the visual arts.

A devotion for photography was stemmed from having bought his first camera after arriving to Canada at the end of his teens. Coupled with his interest in business and entrepreneurship, the path to launching his career as a photographer and creator of Artsypics was paved. Some of the extraordinary characteristics of his work include artistic quality, mood and original points of view. The idea behind his art is a different story waiting to be unfold by a different viewer each time.
